Pampering my face by doing weekly face masks to purify and detoxify my skin is something I've been pretty rubbish at. But after hearing about the new craze of clay face masks I thought I would give one a try.
The L'OREAL new Pure Clay mask range caught my eye as they have three different types of masks in the range, including the Purity mask, Detox mask and the Glow mask. This means you can choose which mask suits your skin type the best and the end result you are looking for.
I chose the 'Detox Mask' which both detoxifies and clarifies your skin. I bought mine from Superdrug on offer for £6 but you can pick them up for £7.99 which I think is a pretty reasonable price for a product that has such visible results and there is enough in the pot for 10 applications.
I applied a thin layer over my face (avoiding my eyes, eyebrows and mouth of course) and then left the clay to dry and sink into my pores for around ten minutes, then removed with warm water.
I was a little worried about coming out in spots or getting a reaction to the mask due to having sensitive skin but to my surprise it did nothing but cleanse and clarify my skin, like it said on the tin.
Funnily enough, I managed to persuade my boyfriend try the face mask at the same time
and he could notice his skin felt clearer for days afterwards.
For the past two weeks I've now been using it as a part of my skincare regime and the results are still visible and long lasting, which I was sceptical about as I thought the initial results may have been a one-off.
