A One Way Ticket to Australia

So, my recent, crazy, 'I've lost my mind' thing I've done is book a one-way ticket to Australia.

What have I done?!?

So why now? I've always had the 'travel bug', but going on holiday for a few weeks, in comparison to actually full-on travelling for an unknown period of time, on the other side of the world, let alone on my own, is more than pretty daunting.....but also rather exciting I guess.

I've had a pretty challenging last twelve months and although I've been trying to keep happy by keeping myself busy with fun filled activities like festivals and little trips away, I feel like I am stuck in a bit of a rut.



So....there's no better time than to drop everything and go travelling. I've got nothing to lose and can only gain.

My friends have been on and on at me to go travelling on my own for a long time but I didn't have the confidence. After asking a few different people that I knew had taken the plunge to go alone, I realized there are many different organizations and travel companies that run group tours for the first week or so, which are perfect for solo travelers that are wimps like me!

I have decided to start my Oz adventure by booking with OzIntro. This company is a seven day group tour which shows you the best of Sydney and they help you settle into Oz life by getting everything you need to work, live and travel, such as your Aussie sim card and bank account. So, for me this was a no brainer...I had to book through them. They made it seem so simple and hassle free. Here is the link to their website www.ozintro.com

My flight isn't for a little while yet, but that's where I'm at at the moment, so in the meantime I'm going to be doing plenty of research of where I want to visit on my travels. Of course when I get the chance amongst sunbathing on beaches, hiking up mountains, chasing waterfalls and not forgetting soul searching, I'll put a new blog post up about how I'm getting on. Not to mention the copious amounts of photography I'm also likely to be taking on my instagram so follow me if you want to share my adventures with me.
